Office theming is the transformation of a regular office into an amazing and entirely different environment through the use of murals, gaming, and 3D & 2D elements.
Picture your office as a jungle full of funny monkeys, a sandy beach with sun tanning seagulls, a serene woodland, or a big barnyard! Your theme is only limited to your imagination.
Theming creates positive patient experiences. Kids are excited to visit a themed office making it easier for you to provide them with a foundation for good health.
Dr. Clyde Maxwell, an IDS customer with two themed offices, asks: "What are you trying to achieve with your practice? Are you trying to create the best patient experience possible? Theming is an investment that is going to have a lifetime effect on your young patients."
Less anxiety in children means greater satisfaction in parents. Word-of-mouth, your most powerful marketing tool, is generated by your satisfied clients. Parents that have a positive experience at your office will tell people about your dental practice or medical clinic.
With IDS, achieving a competitive edge for your business is easy. Our customers have told us that theming was the best investment they had made towards attracting and retaining patients.
Dr. Chuck Hughes tracked his new patients after theming his office with IDS: "I would have been happy had my new investment in IDS been responsible for 50% of the new patients tracked. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the results came in after six months... a full 94% of people surveyed cited the exterior theming!!"
Once themed, your office will begin to generate its own word-of-mouth advertising. Your business will grow with each recommendation.

David Nolan, a recipient of the Business in Calgary Leadership Award, is the president of Imagination Design Studios. Through his leadership and passion for the creative, IDS was created. As the father of two terrific sons, one affected by autism, David is always searching for ways to help children with challenges. IDS has allowed him the opportunity to help by creating welcoming environments for all children in potentially fearful situations. As president of IDS and the company’s creative director, David encourages his designers and production artists to continually renew their passion for art and design. Dave swears he shaves his head strictly for aerodynamics.back
Quality has always been central to Vice President Andrew Hulbert. Born and raised in London, England, he studied as a professional industrial model maker. As head of production at IDS, Andrew’s role is vital in ensuring the company provides the very best quality products to our customers. Andrew is instrumental in the engineering and building of all IDS displays. His philosophy is “if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right”. You’ll know you've reached Andrew on the phone if you have difficulty understanding his Cockney English accent.back
Elizabeth joined our team when her volunteer work for children with disabilities connected her with Dave. As a recognized sales professional with over 25 years experience with a focus on educational institutions, she saw that her skills could be applied at IDS to enhance the lives of children and the practices of those who deliver healthcare to them. Elizabeth serves on Calgary’s City Council’s Advisory Committee for Accessibility to help enable accessibility for all in transportation and building design. Her enthusiasm, creativity and humor helps our customers achieve their marketing goals and their dreams for their offices. Despite being absolutely committed to IDS, she has refused to shave her head to match the other photos on this page.back
With over 8 years’ experience as an Account Manager, Erin knew that she would be the perfect fit for IDS as soon as she walked through the doors. Her outgoing personality is a great match for the fun themed office projects we design for our clients every day.
Clients have a blast working with Erin. Her belief is that clients should have (at least) as much fun in their everyday offices as they do in their homes- and what we do at IDS is a great way to make that happen.
Despite the team being dedicated to her success, they refuse to sit with her for 10 hours to get matching braids.back

This is where the IDS Team hangs out. We can ship anywhere in the United States and Canada from our location in Canada. Our northern location is very jealous of the palm trees at the Florida Branch.
We have been very busy creating offices all across North America, so opening a second production studio has become a necessity to help serve you better. We have you covered from top to bottom!
Imagination Design Studios has a reputation for producing high quality products, but did you know that these products are proudly made in the US and Canada?
All of our work is hand-sculpted and hand-painted from custom designs and is produced in-house. This allows us to provide one-of-a-kind creations as opposed to generic or mass-produced products.
We assure that all IDS products are made to a consistent level of quality and durability that is unmatched in the industry and we maintain relationships with other local suppliers in North America who share our value system of responsible manufacturing.
Our products are manufactured in our very own facilities located in Alberta and Florida. This means that we can maintain a superior level of quality while using materials that we know to be safe and durable. In addition, our staff of engineers and designers accommodate all universal requirements for accessibility and safety.
