We transformed this open hospital space into a contemporary underwater adventure! Using the client’s own murals, we created matching vibrant 3D sculptures to complement the more contemporary look. Patients will feel instantly transported to a coral reef teeming with life upon arrival.

In the waiting area, we carved circular windows and comfortable seating right into the faux rock wall with plush cushions for guests to relax on. Also built into the sculpted rock are multiple rectangular bench seats that blend seamlessly with the environment – perfect for larger volumes of people. For adventurous underwater explorers, we also created a custom cave corner for guests to enter and “swim around” in! No more worrying about keeping the kids entertained when they can play around in this larger-than-life indoor cave while they wait.

Guests can make their visit extra memorable by taking a picture in a head-hole photo op wall. Who wants to be the starfish and who wants to be the scuba diver? Say cheese! There are a lot of great ways to use a photo op to promote that positive time patients will have while in your care.

Guests can easily find their way to the themed waiting area by following the vibrant aquatic life through the hospital. Soaring skylight ceilings allowed us to suspend sculpted sea characters like jellyfish and stingrays, as well as scuba divers overhead to make individuals walking down the hall feel like they’re deep beneath the waves. The beautiful wall decor leading to the seating area also includes 3D elements like fish and coral popping from the wall to truly make guests feel at home under the sea. It also allows children to engage with and touch the friendly sealife and put them at ease.

In addition to the hanging sculptures, throughout the hospital are small ocean-themed elements such as adorable wall-mounted octopi and jellyfish that truly make the theming feel immersive in every way.
